A day in and around the house in Porcenia. We found out that the tree bike is quite a bit north of the route and already completely off the line now. This is because it is not so easy yet to find suitable places to stay that are also affordable for us. And therefore the lodging sites sometimes roam a little further from the line. And because we still like to have the tree bike close by, the tree bike has also temporarily moved further away from the line. This can be well followed on the website under the report section. There is a tracker in the tree bike that shows you exactly where it is. Today is filled with all kinds of things: consulting on how to do better and on how to reactivate the crowdfunding, answering emails, writing yesterday’s report, cleaning up and organizing, both stuff and our heads, watering trees, planning route, preparing Venice, and some more of those things that make the day fly by. It seems like a rest day when you don’t cycle for a day but it’s not really. If you cycle, you still have the relative peace and relaxation of cycling and looking around, even though you must of course constantly be very careful that everything is going well. The weather is lovely today, just under thirty degrees. And after three days we are already getting used to each other. It is always a matter of adjusting. And that’s the way it should be. What you miss a little on a day like this are the enthusiastic reactions of the people we meet, waving and laughing. But tomorrow we cycle again, towards Venice.
