Day 32 - 58 km
Nova Sol - Sieroszowice
Daan and Richard drive both cars to the place where we will sleep tonight in Polkowice before eight o’clock. They return with one car, the bus and trailer stay there. A quick breakfast and then we leave, Sanne takes Richard to the train and Daan and I start the new stage to Sieroszowice. A varied route over nice asphalt but also semi-paved roads, which are a little less nice for the tree. The landscape is beautiful and it seems like they have had enough, you can still find stretches here that seem to be not in use, that are over corpse. And that feels like space. Many yards, especially in the villages, are imaginatively decorated, those gardens are full of fake animals or colorful objects. Collectors they are. It’s not my taste but it’s done with care, you can tell. On the way, Daan’s bike gets a flat tire, less than fifteen minutes after he suggested we carry a set of sticking stuff as standard. Fortunately Sanne is nearby and the bike is ready for use again within half an hour. Very nice. And so we cycle on, mile to mile. We give away some more trees but don’t see many people along the way. We hear that Richard’s train is delayed and will not arrive in Amsterdam until around ten o’clock tonight. A long trip. We change batteries a few times and see another beautiful example of a mature Birthday Park forest in the village of Radwanice. We take a few pictures of it. And so by five o’clock we roll into Sieroszowice with sunshine. We park the tree bike in someone’s yard and Sanne comes to pick us up from here to go to Polkowice. A quiet Monday, but another 58 kilometers further on the route. We eat in the center…
